Snipers have plenty of places to hide, and there are courtyards in the middle where you can hammer anyone in the open. This is a big urban level that feels a bit like the apartment level from Modern Warfare. It's called Nightfire since it takes place at night, so most of the illumination comes from the fires burning around you. This is another German versus Red Army level set in the gutted ruins of Berlin. You can't really call in artillery effectively, either, as the only opening to the sky is the in the middle, above the tracks.Ī+target+rich+environment. Along both sides of the track are side rooms that provide alternate routes along the tracks, as well as plenty of close-quarters combat opportunities. This focuses the fighting, as you feel like you're battling in a narrow corridor at times. Station is set inside a train station, so it's a long, rectangular level with railroad tracks in the middle.

Here's a quick rundown.įirst up is Station, a German versus Red Army level that provides a very interesting, cat-and-mouse feel. Sure enough, Activision and Treyarch this morning released Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1, a collection of three new multiplayer maps and one new Nazi Zombie level. It seems that in this world nothing is certain but death and taxes and DLC, or downloadable content for multi-platform shooters.
